Hey all,
Is it possible to fold down the wheel clamp portion of the bike shoe?
In other words, using the picture below, can the clamp portion be rotated counter clockwise until it hits the floor?

Great product! Have 2 in pickup for years. Watch leaving them uncovered in winter though-Rain got inside tubing, froze & expanded. Some splits & still work great! Mounted to 3/4" board now for quick removal.

Mine folds down till the wheel clamp hits the square tubed main section, but not till it hits the floor. I do like the quite well:)

You don't need straps with this setup?
Where do you get them?
How much are they?
Really? No straps?

NO straps is correct. I paid $75. I've seen them for $59 in catolog, but then add shipping. I ordered mine through my sponcer(he pays shipping). What I like is rolling bike up into pickup right into shoe, clamp it down. No need for ballancing bike to strap it in when solo. Plus fork seals are not being compresed either.
I love mine. I don't know why; how lazy can I get? It's too much trouble to take two minutes to strap my bike down? But at the end of a day of riding, it's sure nice to just ride up onto the trailer, roll into the bike shoe, jump off and clamp it down.

Dang, thats pretty pricey. I have an enclosed trailer that ALWAYS has straps lying all over the place. It's a hassle. But outfitting with those would cost me $300, because I put 5 bikes in it. :(

Its really not any more expensive than a set of quality straps and wheel chocks. Ancra's are $17 each, a pingle wheel chock is at least 35.
Only trouble is the wheel clam won't fit between the fork legs of some bikes (KX100's for example).
have fun
