View Full Version : Wood Trailer Floor Cleanup?
Just got 8 x 16 Roadmaster and it appears to have a couple of spills. I'd like to paint the floor and want to clean it up first. I have both hot and cold pressure washers avalible, however I'd rather use a cleaning agent before I soften up the wood with pressure. Thanks in advance.

Congrats. I would think about putting linoleum down. The checkerboard stuff looks pretty good. Paint's gonna have a tough time sticking to anything that has had oil or gas spilled on it.

I used a one piece garage floor mat that covers the entire floor and goes up the walls about eight inches. That way any spills are contained on the floor. Go to my site to check it out at http://www.crazyted.us or directly to MY TRAILER PAGE (http://www.crazyted.us/trailer.html)

When I had my Haulmark 6x12, I did the floor in a paint on truck bed liner after first treating the wood floor with acetone. It dries a black textured rubbery finish and is very nice........Beware of the checkerboard floors........Some are EXTREMELY slippery when wet! Good luck!
